The entrance to Buile Hill Park adjacent to the scene was cordoned off and cars were being diverted along Chaseley Road from the east bound route along Eccles Old Road.

Parents were still be able to pick their children up from neighbouring Buile Hill Visual Arts College but were being asked that where possible to use Manor Road for picking them up, although they are warned to expect extra traffic and congestion in the area at the end of the school day, around 2:30pm.
