Two men aged 25 and 26 have been arrested on suspicion of burglary after a raid was carried out at a Salford Kwik Fit on Bury New Road yesterday evening (Monday 18th May).
It would seem that both men were neither kwik or fit enough to evade the police helicopter which guided police on the ground to them whereupon they were promptly arrested upon suspicion of the burglary.
Later in the evening members on our Facebook group reported a large police presence seen focusing on a block of flats on Cholmondeley Road which is thought to be linked.
It is unknown what was stolen from the business premises but reportedly a van was taken.
Both men currently remain in police custody for questioning.
In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said:

"At around 10.40pm on Monday, May 18, 2020, police were called to reports of a burglary on Bury New Road, Prestwich.
"Police officers attended."
