  • PARAGLIDER FIGHTING FOR LIFE AFTER BARTON ACCIDENT

    This morning  (around 8am) emergency services attended the scene of an accident involving a paraglider who was seriously injured whilst attempting to land at City Airport (Barton)

    The man sustained serious injuries and has been rushed to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

    The incident is being investigated by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch as is protocol, Greater Manchester Police are assisting with support.

    A spokesperson for GMP said:

    The man is ‘desperately ill’ after suffering serious injuries during the incident.

    A paragliding accident took place at Barton Airport at around 8am this morning.
