A former Bolton Wanderers and Bury football coach abused his position of trust to make recordings of young girls changing their clothes.
59-year-old Ian Nickson of Burns Road in Little Hulton, was handed a nine-month custodial sentence after pleading guilty to making secret recordings of young girls as they washed and changed their clothes.
The former football coach took advantage of his position at Walkden Junior Football Club in order to facilitate the recording of videos of the girls , one of which was as young as 11.
In court he pleaded guilty to three counts of voyeurism which related to three separate videos of two young girls having been discovered upon electronic devices in his possession.
His sickening crimes of voyeurism were only discovered after one of the girls alerted a family member following her concerns regarding an iPad which had been placed on the floor of a room she was asked to get changed in.
Her family immediately contacted the police who discovered the secretive recordings during their investigations.
Nickson was handed a nine-month sentence along with stipulation that he should be added to the sex offenders register and subject to a sexual harm prevention order for a period of ten years.
