  • POLICE APPEAL AFTER HIT-AND-RUN LEAVES MAN WITH AN INJURED LEG IN SWINTON

    Police are appealing for witnesses after a 34-year-old man was taken to hospital after sustaining a leg injury during a hit-and-run incident at the Shell 'Moorside' Petrol Station on the East Lancashire Road (A580) in Swinton yesterday (11th March) at around 2:40pm.

    Police say enquiries into the incident are on going and are asking for any member of the public who may have been witness to step forward.

    A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police, said:

    “Police were called following a report of a collision between a man and a vehicle at a petrol station on East Lancashire Road, Swinton, at about 2.40pm on Thursday 11 March, 2021.

    “The vehicle failed to stop following the collision.

    “A 34-year-old man was taken to hospital with leg injuries.

    “No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.”

     

    Any information or witnesses should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 1469 of 11/03/2021, or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
