Police in Salford are appealing to the public for information after reports of a stabbing which took place after a street fight broke around the junction of Farringdon Street and Nadine street in Langworthy at around 10pm on Saturday 15th of August.
Officers attended after they were made aware of an altercation which had taken place in which a man received what is described as a minor stab wound, they are asking the public to come forward with information as to what happened in order to help their ongoing enquiries.
There had been speculation that a stain on the wall of a nearby home was blood but police have now dismissed it as just discarded food.

"GMP is appealing for information about an incident in the Farringdon Street and Nadine Street area of Langworthy on the evening of Saturday, August 15 at around 9.55pm.
"A male sustained a minor stab wound as the result of an altercation, any information would be welcomed.
"In relation to Nadine Street, rumours of blood being found on a wall in the area are unfounded, it has been investigated and transpired to be foodstuffs."
