At sometime between 11:30pm and midnight on Monday 19 August 2019, a 17-year-old boy was walking along Monton Road when he was attacked and stabbed a number of times by another boy who afterwards fled the scene in a grey coloured Volkswagen Polo.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries and he remains there for treatment, although it is believed his injuries are not life threatening.
Detective Constable Darren Lowe, of GMP’s Salford District, said,

“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have information about this incident, which can help us find those responsible.
“Thankfully the victim’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening, however that could easily have not been the case.
“We believe that there may have been a number of witnesses to the attack and I want to urge those people who saw something to please contact police.”
