Police are appealing for further information after a four-year-old boy was left with a serious head injury following a collision at around 3:30pm on Tuesday 26th April, which happened close to Patricroft bridge in Eccles.
The youngster was taken by ambulance to Greater Manchester Children's Hospital for treatment.
Police are now asking for witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage from the area around that time to get in contact with them.
Police say that the child is thankfully in a stable condition in hospital, and the driver of a silver Ford Focus involved in the incident remained at the scene and is assisting them with enquiries.
