  • POLICE ARE APPEALING FOR WITNESSES TO A ROBBERY AT AN IRLAM CONVENIENCE STORE

    Officers are appealing for information following a robbery at Ferryhill Stores on Ferryhill Road on Thursday 6 February 2020.

    At around 6.20am two men entered the store and threatened a shopworker, demanding cash.

    They fled on foot with a quantity of cash  down Ferry Road towards the Boathouse pub.

    There were no reports of injuries.

    One man is described as white, around 6ft tall, very thin and was wearing a black hoodie.

    The second man was white and around 5ft 5ins tall.

    No further descriptions are available.

    Anyone with information or footage should call police on 0161 856 5351 quoting incident number 512 of 06/02/2020

    Details can also be passed on anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
