  • POLICE ARE ASKING FOR WITNESSES TO A COLLISION IN SWINTON IN WHICH A MAN SUFFERED SERIOUS FACIAL INJURIES

    Police Officers who are investigating a serious collision on Bolton Road with the junction of Billy Lane, Swinton, have asked for the witnesses to come foward.

    Shortly before 11pm on Saturday 7 December 2019 a red Kia Ceed was travelling on Bolton Road towards Billy Lane, Swinton  when it collided with a pedestrian .

    The man driving the Kia remained at the scene and spoke with police.

    The pedestrian, a man in his 40's suffered serious facial injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains receiving treatment.

    No arrests have been made.

    Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any information should contact PC Jason Clarke from GMP’s Road Policing Unit on 0161 856 7364 quoting incident number 3385 of 07/12/19.

    Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
