GMP are still investigating the circumstances as to how a small child was found locked alone inside a small dark room at a property in Pendlebury which was described as being the size of a prison cell.

Police discovered the boy locked away in a small dark room with just a bowl of water to drink from after being called to the property earlier this month (3rd October) , two people were arrested at the scene shortly afterwards.

A man aged 32 and a woman aged 30 were arrested on suspicion of child neglect but were later released under investigation.

The child is now in the care of Salford's Childrens Services.

Police say that enquiries are still on going.
