GMP's Transport Unit officers arrested and charged a male this morning (3rd August) after being found with a crossbow in his vehicle during a routine stop in Salford.

This is the second dangerous weapon taken off the streets of Salford in as many days after police recovered a Rambo style knife from a man in Eccles the night before.

GMP and Transport Unit officers are fully supporting the 'i am greater' campaign removing dangerous weapons from the streets of Greater Manchester.
