A 16-year-old Boy from Swinton has been stabbed this evening, emergency services were alerted to the scene after he was discovered on Bancroft Road in Swinton, located close to a local primary school.
The incident happened at around 8:10pm this evening (Tuesday 30th March).
The teenage boy is understood to have been found with stab wounds but his condition is thankfully not thought to be be life threatening.
Armed response officers from Greater Manchester Police reportedly descended on the area, meanwhile, police forensics officers have been seen looking through gardens in along the road as well as seen to be focusing on a nearby alleyway on Ackworth Road where it is believed the incident happened.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said:
Quote"At approximately 8:10pm tonight officers attended Bancroft Rd Swinton, following a report of a male who had been stabbed."
North West Ambulance Service also attended and confirmed that the boys injuries were non life threatening.
