Officers from Greater Manchester Police specialist search unit and crime scene investigation are currently carrying out a search of a property on Claremont Road they suspect as being used as a Meth Lab.
It is understood that items used in the production of methamphetamine have been recovered from the bungalow property.
Police say that a 59-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of cannabis production and possession with intent to supply a class A drug.
He has since been released pending further enquiries.
This is the second discovery of such an operation in Salford within a month, after police carried out similar searches at a property in Langworthy in December 2019.
