Two men were arrested on Regent Road in Salford on the early hours of Sunday 10th April 2022 after being found in possession of in excess of £4000 and suspected Class A drugs.

Officers from the Transport Unit attended a petrol station to fuel up their vehicle prior to finishing their shift and came across a vehicle with the occupants inhaling drugs.

The occupants were searched who then assaulted officers in an attempt to get away. Both were detained and numerous snap bags of suspected Class A drugs were seized and over £4000 in cash.

A number of mobile phones were also ringing constantly throughout the incident and afterwards.

A 20 and 21 year old man have been arrested on suspicion of police assault and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply and the investigation is ongoing.
