  • POLICE FIND A SUSPECTED METH LAB IN LANGWORTHY

    A 34 year old man has been arrested after police discovered what is suspected to be a meth lab at an address on Field Street in the Langworthy area.

    Items which can be used in the manufacture and production of methamphetamine were recovered from the scene by officers early on the morning of Friday 13th of December.

    A forensics tent has been erected at an 'Upside Down House' property close to Chimney Pot Park and police are currently at the scene.

    A statement from GMP reads,

    "Shortly after 6.20am this morning, Friday, December 13, 2019 police attended a property on Field Street, Salford and found a number of items which are suspected to be used in the production of methamphetamine.

    "Officers remain at the scene working with the fire service to recover the items.

    "A man aged 34 has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

    "He remains in custody for questioning."
