  • POLICE INCIDENT AS A 21-YEAR-OLD MAN IS STABBED IN WORSLEY IN THE EARLY HOURS OF THIS MORNING

    Police were called at around 11pm last night (Sunday 6 February 2022), after reports of a stabbing on Manchester Road (A6) in Walkden.

    Emergency services attended and a 21-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his abdomen. He remains in hospital in a serious condition.

    During the incident the road was closed in both directions but has since been reopened this morning although a cordon remains around a house on the road.

    A dark Grey Audi car was recovered from the scene for forensic analysis.

    No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

    A large police presence remains in the area.
