  • POLICE INVESTIGATE AFTER 15-YEAR-OLD BOY INJURED IN 'DISTURBANCE' IN SWINTON

    A 15-year-old boy was injured during what police are calling a 'disturbance' on Park Avenue in Swinton.

    Police responded to the incident at around 9:30pm on Sunday evening (20th Feb).

    The 15-year-old self attended at hospital with a minor wound to his arm but was subsequently discharged.

    A police investigation is now under way and anyone with information relating to the incident is asked to come forward.

    A spokesperson for GMP, said:

    "At around 9.30pm on Sunday 20 February 2022, police received a report of a disturbance on Park Avenue, Swinton.

    "A 15-year-old boy self-presented at hospital with an arm injury. He has since been discharged.

    "An investigation is underway.

    "Anyone with information should contact police quoting 3161 20/02/22 or the independent charity - Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
