Police are investigating after a woman believed to be in her 20's was reportedly doused with what is thought to have been Bleach during an attack said to have been carried out by three young women.

The incident took place on Wortley Avenue, close to Edward Avenue in Weaste, at around 8pm this evening (Tuesday 21st Feb).

The cul-de-sac is regularly used by pedestrians as a passthrough in order to get to Kennedy Road and vice versa.

Forensics officers were reported at the scene this evening but have since left, a cordon which was put in place at the time, has also been lifted.

We have contacted GMP for further information.
