Emergency services were called to a stabbing at a block of flats on Kiwi Street in pendleton on Monday morning.
At around 11am police received a call saying that a man had been stabbed in the neck.
The victim who is in his early 20's had suffered a serious but non life threatening injury for which he was taken to hospital to be treated, he remains there this evening.
A GMP spokesperson said:
Quote"An investigation is underway and officers are searching for two men in connection with the incident.
"Shortly after 11am police were called to Cherry Tree Court on Kiwi Street in Pendleton to reports that a man had been stabbed.
“Police and the ambulance services attended and a man was taken to hospital with stab wounds to the neck.
“His injuries were serious but not life threatening.
“Police are now investigating the circumstances and searching for two men in connection with this incident.”
