  • POLICE INVESTIGATION AFTER 19-YEAR-OLD STABBED ON SEFTON ROAD IN SWINTON

    Police are carrying out investigations in Swinton following the stabbing of an 19-year-old boy which left him hospitalised and in a serious condition.

    The youth was stabbed on Sefton Road in Swinton at around 20:40 this evening (23rd June).

    A cordon was put in place at the scene as officers carried out doorstep inquiries.

    There have been no arrests made so far according to Greater Manchester Police.

    In a statement, a spokesperson for GMP said:

    "At around 20.44 on Wednesday, June 23, police were called to a report of a stabbing on Sefton Road, Swinton.

    "Officers attended and established that a 19 year-old male had been assaulted.

    "The victim has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

    "A scene is currently in place and enquires are ongoing."
