Police have issued camera footage from both police vehicle dash-cams and the forces helicopter, after a disqualified and uninsured driver tried evading arrest for nearly 30 minutes by dangerously driving through the city after failing to stop.

The driver was no match for the forces eye in the sky which tracked his route across the City using its infrared thermal imaging cameras to guide police who were hot on his trail.

In the end the driver gave up and attempted to abandon the vehicle to make a get-away on foot, only to be brought down by police officers, fortunately for him, just seconds before a police dog was to be sent into action.

Christopher Porter, aged 33-years-old, of Brindleheath Rd, has now began a 2-year sentence for his crimes.
