Officers from the Salford North East Neighbourhood Team working closely with local housing providers have managed to recover two stolen motorcycles, one of which police believed to have been used in personal robberies and also a vehicle believed to have been used another in crime.

Stolen motorcycles or scooters have often been used in crimes which target people carrying valuable items, thieves use the bikes to quickly mount pavements to snatch mobile phones and handbags from unsuspecting victims, allowing them to make a speedy get away.

Salford also has an increasing problem with instances with antisocial behavior from youths on motorcycles who only last week were reported to have been driving wildly in and out of traffic in Eccles after being earlier been spotted trying to cause damage to a building close to the local Aldi store.
