Police officers in Salford responded to reports of a firearms discharge taking place during a burglary which occurred on Ashfield Close in Seedley at around 11:45pm on Friday November 4th.
The cul-de-sac which is located off Seedley Terrace and close to Seedley Park, was cordoned off by police whilst forensics officers scoured the area.
Fortunately there were no injuries reported and sadly no arrests.
It is believed the firearm was discharged in order to threaten and intimidate the occupiers of the property.
