Harrop Fold Secondary School in Little Hulton has joined Buile Hill Academy and Co-op Academy in Swinton in announcing the closure of an entire year group bubble due to a report of a pupil at the school showing as positive for Covid-19.
Year 11 pupils are now required to stay at home and self-isolate following government guidelines.
This makes Harrop the third school in Salford to announce year group closures within less than a week after returning from lockdown and summer holidays which followed.
This latest development does not affect pupils in other years groups within the school who will be expected to return to school tomorrow as normal.
As with the other schools, pupils affected will be required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days before they will be permitted to return to school.
