The former Manchester United player and current Wales Mananger, Ryan Giggs, has appeared before Manchester & Salford Magistrates Court to deny assaulting two women.

47-year-old Giggs of Worsley is accused of actual bodily harm to Kate Greville aged-36 and of common assault on her younger sister Emma.

He has also been charged with coercive or controlling behaviour during the period of December 2017 - November 2020, which includes using violence, isolation, belittling, humiliation, harassment, degradation and abuse.

The hearing has been adjourned and Mr Giggs, of Chatsworth Road, in Swinton is set for a further appearance at Manchester Crown Court on the 26th May.

The co-owner of Salford Football Club was bailed with the condition that he does not approach either of his accusers or their homes.
