We were delighted to receive this photo of the lovely Leanne Tessier who now resides in Townsville Queensland, Australia. She can be seen here proudly showing off her Salford mug for the camera.
Leanne who used to live on Claremont Road, Salford moved to Australia in February 2009, was bought the mug as a reminder of Salford by our good friend, Dave Allen who also just happens to be her Uncle.
Dave has raised many, many pounds for our VIP (Very Important Pensioners) party by donating money himself and organising a whip round at his works and fellow drinkers in Wetherspoons, Eccles, a lovely man and a true Salfordian.
If you have purchased a mug either, Salford/Eccles/Swinton/Irlam etc for a loved one overseas, please ask them to send us a photo so we can share it on our pages and as a further incentive the cup owner who lives farthest from Salford will receive a free Tote bag, how good is that!
We shall be selling the Salford and Eccles Tote bags and mugs from the Eccles Community Art Gallery on Saturday 26th August from 10am onwards... see you there.
