Ted Edwards, Eccles own, Indiana Jones funeral will be held tomorrow, Friday 23rd June at 10.20am. Peel Green cemetery, Eccles.
Ted was a well known character around the North West folk music scene and penned, The Coal Hole Cavalry which has become a folk club staple and recorded by many artistes.
However Ted will be best remembered for his love of exploring, exotic and often dangerous places, no, not Patricroft... he had trekked across the Sahara Desert, walked Death Valley, the Grand Canyon in America, and canoed the length of the Everglades in Florida and attempted to become a Cosmonaut and took basic training in the Soviet Union all incredibly true.
It will be good to see his friends and admirers turn up for Ted's last crusade and I am certain it promises to be an event to be remembered for all the right reasons.
Cheers Ted, your were a rum 'un!
