  • TEEN CHARGED AFTER A BOY WAS STABBED IN STREFTORD

    Sonnie Carter (19/04/2000) of Ennerdale Road, Stretford has been charged with Section 18 assault, possession of an offensive weapon and theft of a pedal cycle. 

    He appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court yesterday, where he was bailed to appear at Manchester Crown Court on 16 August 2019. 

    The 17-year-old boy who was stabbed has since been released from hospital.  

    A boy aged 13, two men aged 21 and 28 and a woman, aged 22, who were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder have been released under investigation.  

    The charges relate to an incident where officers were called to School Road, Stretford shortly before 1.50pm on Wednesday 17 July 2019 to a report that a boy had been stabbed.
