The 67 seat big yellow 'Iveco Scolabus 24' buses, were made in 2003/4 and have a powered DDA ramp, they are in full working condition. They even had a refurbishment in 2015.
TfGM are giving away up to 6, YES 6 of them, to local community groups and schools.
To be considered you should complete the form on the link below, demonstrating how you propose to use the vehicle and the expected benefits of your proposal.
I am sure there are many groups in Salford who could make use of one, for things such as mobile homeless shelters, local kids sports clubs etc...
Transport for Greater Manchester Committee Chair, Councillor Mark Aldred, said:

“Greswell School set an inspirational example of what can be done with the buses and we’re looking for people to engage their creative sides and tell us how they can make use of their own donated vehicle.
“I look forward to seeing a variety of creative and community-spirited projects developing in the near future.”
