  • THE BODY OF A 53-YEAR-OLD MAN HAS BEEN FOUND AT KERSAL WETLANDS

    Police have confirmed that the body of a 53-year-old male has been found in the water at the Kersal Wetland this afternoon.

    The death is not being treated as suspicious.

    A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said:

    Quote

     

    "Police were called at around 12pm today (Monday, March 30) to a report of a concern for welfare near Kersal Way in Kersal.

    "Emergency services attended and sadly found the body of a man, aged 53.

    "There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a file has been passed to the coroner."

     

    We wish to send our condolences to the mans family at this time.
