  • THE BODY OF A MAN HAS SADLY BEEN DISCOVERED IN AGECROFT THIS MONDAY MORNING - POLICE ARE TRYING TO ESTABLISH THE CAUSE OF HIS DEATH

    Police are currently responding after the body of a man was found in Agecroft this morning (Monday 20th Jan).

    Officers discovered the body after being called shortly before 11:30am, we have unconfirmed information that the body was found by a gardener.

    The investigation seems to be centred around bushes located close to the junction between Kilcoby Avenue and Agecroft Road in Pendlebury.

    Police forensics officers have been seen carrying out searches around the area and a police cordon has been established around the perimeter of the section of land that encloses the bushes.

    Police say the investigation is in its early stages and officers are trying to establish the circumstances of the mans death.

    Shortly before 11.30am this morning (Monday 20 January 2020), police were called to Agecroft Avenue at the junction with Kilcoby Avenue.

    Sadly, officers discovered the body of a man.

    A scene is in place whilst investigation work continues.

    The investigation is in its early stages and officers are working hard to establish the circumstances of the man’s death.
