    The newly formed Big Lottery Funded Salford Youth Alliance has funded two partners SAYO/SPARKY Project and Oasis Academy Hub MediaCityUK to deliver an exciting summer holiday youth provision programme from the school.

    Additional funding from the charity Greggs Fun, Langworthy Proceeds of Crime and the local NHS Clinical Commissioning Group will provide a nutritious meal to every young person who attends the summer programme including healthy sandwiches, whole wheat-based pizza and healthy pasta dishes. Children are also provided with fruit as snacks and water.

    Salford Youth Alliance staff and volunteers will be providing nutritional awareness activities via the NHS Clinical Commissioning Group, which will educate young people about healthy balanced diet’s and dispel food myths.

    Activities run from 10 am - 3 pm on weekdays, and include swimming, climbing, water-sports, parkour, street dance, arts and crafts, basketball, rounders, football, big screen gaming and offsite trips to Crocky Trail and Blackpool Pleasure Beach. The cost per child is just £2 including a free healthy lunch. Free transport to Oasis Hub is available from St Luke’s C of E Weaste Lane, The Willows car park and the old St Luke’s C of E site.
