Mind in Salford – To raise money and awareness for mental health services.
Mind in Salford’s Project Development Manager, Sam, and a group of others with lived experience of mental health issues are embarking on a 128 mile journey from Newcastle to Manchester 13th-16th July, 2023. Sam and the group will be walking to fundraise for Mind in Salford. When Sam first participated in this walk during September 2017, he found himself in a really difficult place mentally. Now, 6 years later, he’s in a much better place thanks to both statutory services and charities like Mind in Salford. To mark this journey, he wants to go back to where it all started.
A Word from The Great North Walkers:
Quote“If it hadn't been for statutory mental health services and charities like Mind in Salford some of us, and many other people, would no longer be here. The opportunity to work on our mental health has quite literally been instrumental to survival for some of us; help Mind in Salford to help more people do the same.”
