Police were called at around 12:30pm yesterday afternoon (Sunday 13th March) after reports of a young boy having suffered a medical episode at a house on Firth Close in Lower Broughton.
Paramedics were quickly on scene and he was transferred to Salford Royal but sadly passed away not long after arrival.
The North West Air Ambulance also reportedly landed at the nearby Alberts Park in order to assist.
A GMP Spokesperson, said:
Quote
"Police were called around 12.30pm on Sunday 13 March to Firth Close, Salford to a report of a child suffering from a medical episode.
"The child - a boy - was taken to hospital but despite the best efforts of hospital staff sadly died a short while later.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
Neither the boys age or name have yet been disclosed so we ask that people to not post them in the comments as it would be unfair to the family at this sad time.
