A man sustained an injury to his hand and had to be taken to hospital for treatment after a fight broke out in a Salford Quays bar.

Police were called to the Lowry's Outlet Village after reports of a disturbance at the Lime Bar shortly after 10:30pm on Saturday (7th December). A man with bloodied hands was seen being restrained by police officers before he was taken to hospital to be treated, he was later arrested alongside another man, on suspicion of affray and remained in custody for questioning.

Witnesses described large amounts of blood on the floor outside the venue and there were claims on social media that a terrorist attack had taken place but police quickly dispelled the rumour.

    In a statement, GMP said,
