  • TWO MALES IN CUSTODY AFTER TEEN STABBED AT ALBERT PARK IN BROUGHTON

    Two males have been arrested in connection with a stabbing at Albert Park in Broughton which happened around 4pm this afternoon (Tuesday 31st May).

    Police and North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) attended the scene whereupon they found the victim, a 15-year-old boy, who appeared to be suffering from a stab wound. The teen was quickly taken to hospital by paramedics where he remains, his condition is so far unknown.

    Forensics officers were reported to be scouring an area of the park for evidence, a cordon was erected but has since been removed.

    The two arrested males are currently being held in custody as police continue their investigations.

    A GMP Spokesperson said:

    "Officers were called to Albert Park Road in Salford to a report of a stabbing at 4pm today (31 May 2022). Emergency services attended and a 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital where he remains.

    "Detectives are carrying out an investigation. Two males have been arrested and remain in custody at this time."
