  • TWO MEN HAVE BEEN CHARGED IN RELATION TO A SHOOTING IN ORDSALL

    Bryan Thomas (19/10/1999) of HMP Altcourse has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and attempted murder.

    Phillip Manning (25/12/1987) of HMP Wakefield has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and attempted murder.

    Both are due to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court on 20/12/2018.

    A third man, Tony Kelly (30/07/1991) of no fixed abode has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and has been remanded to appear at Manchester Crown Court on 04/03/2019.

    Shortly after 10pm on Tuesday 22 May 2018, police were called to a property on Cloughfield Avenue, Ordsall following reports of a shooting.

    Two men and a woman had been inside a property when shots were fired through a downstairs window.

    A 26-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries to his abdomen and has since been released.
