    The thief struck as the lady sat at a set of traffic lights on Albert Street in Eccles.

    After opening the car door he grabbed the handbag from the seat and quickly headed off on his push bike. Police have issued a warning to drivers today that their has been a recent spate of these types of attacks across Greater Manchester.

    They have advised drivers to be vigilant and to ensure they lock the doors of their vehicle once inside to prevent them being able to be opened from the outside. They also have advised people to ensure that they don't have valuable items such as phones, bags, purses wallets, or other items on display.
