Earlier this month we told you how the supremely talented artist, actor, author, playwright and all-round good egg. Brian Gorman donated a beautiful piece of artwork showing Manchester United's manager, Erik ten hag celebrating the famous victory at Old Trafford over rivals Liverpool, 2-1 this August to be auctioned off to help local foodbanks.
Fierce bidding took place and the amount offered was changing almost daily as three bidders slugged it out, to own the artwork.
The final bell rang last night at midnight and the winner in the spotlight with a last-minute bid of a staggering £250! was John Mottershead an Uber Manchester United fan.
John, we salute you for your generosity with your bid and we shall be delivering the artwork and collecting the cash in the next day or so!
The money raised will be split between The Mustard Tree Emergency Food Bank in Eccles and The Salford Unemployed Resource Centre on Liverpool Road, Eccles, both of whom do invaluable work in helping those less fortunate,
