    Salford News

The UK Met Office has issued warnings of wintry showers, high winds, snow and ice over the next couple of days.

As if getting out of bed in the morning was not bad enough it seems that there is a chance we may have to defrost car windscreens and put the heating on an hour before we sit on toilet seats for the next couple of days.

Wrap up warm, take care on the roads and please look out for elderly neighbours.

    This Evening and Tonight:

There'll be further showers tonight with clear spells. Cold with frost in sheltered spots, but snow is likely over the hills, leading to some icy patches by the morning. Minimum Temperature 0 °C.

    Friday:

After a crisp start there will be sunny spells tomorrow. There'll be further showers, again with the risk of hail, thunder and hill snow, and the winds will ease. Maximum Temperature 7 °C.
