In what could be one of the biggest upsets of the election, Salford Labour stand a 61% chance of loosing the Worsley & Eccles South seat to the Conservatives Arnie Saunders, which would send shock-waves across the Salford political spectrum.
The seat has long been considered to be one of the safest Labour Stronghold but if the exit polls are to be believed then that could all be about to change.
Barbara Keeley has held the constituency since 2006 when it was formed as party of boundary changes affecting Worsley.
It would seem that at this point into the night, Labours majorities nationally have been dramatically reduced in all seats that have declared so far. If this trend carries on into Salford then it could have a devastating effect on Keeley's chances of retaining her seat.
A Tory win would mean that for the first time in a long time our City would have MP's who sit on the opposing benches to each other.
