    The UK Met Office has issued a yellow warning for strong winds and heavy rainfall which is expected over the coming 48 hours.

    Today:

    Heavy rain and strong winds clearing northwards this morning, with a mixture of bright spells and scattered showers following. The showers are likely to turn heavy and possibly thundery, especially during the afternoon. Feeling warm and humid. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

    Tonight:

    Scattered showers continuing overnight, turning heavy and thundery at times, and perhaps merging to give some longer spells on rain. Winds also increasing overnight. Minimum temperature 14 °C.

    Saturday:

    Bright spells and showers on Saturday. The showers will be heavy at times with a risk of hail and thunder, and slow-moving in the north. Maximum temperature 21 °C.
