    The fifth named storm of the season is heading our way and the UK Met Office has issued alerts as it is expected to bring gusts of up to 80mph with it.

    A yellow weather warning has been issued for between 6pm on Tuesday and 8am on Wednesday for north west of the UK and it is expected to impact on traffic and travel during the Wednesday morning rush hour.

    A risk for life warning has been issued for and area north of our region where an amber warning is in place.

    Eleanor has already affected parts of Ireland with gusts of up to 98mph bringing damage to property, electrical supplies and dangerously swelling river levels.

    The forecast for the rest of the week is not much better.

    Stay safe folks and only travel if you have too.
