Shortly before 9.20pm on Friday 22 June 2018, police were called to reports of a collision involving a motorbike and a car.

A Seat Leon has been travelling along Hart Road and turned left onto Wilbraham Road, travelling a short distance before a Yamaha motorbike collided with the car.

The biker received serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Wilbraham Road was closed for around 8 hours while officers carried out their enquiries.

Police Constable Peter Cunningham of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:

“The biker has been left with very serious injuries and I hope he is soon on the road to recovery.

“As we piece together how this collision happened, it’s really important that we hear from people who may have seen the bike or the Seat as they travelled around yesterday evening.

“If you have dash cam footage from last night that could help with our investigation, please send this to our team on SCD.CCTV@GMP.POLICE.UK.

“You can also pass information by speaking to the collision investigation unit directly on 0161 856 4741 quoting incident number 2205 of 22/06/18.”

Reports can also be made anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
