  • ARREST MADE FOLLOWING FIREARM DISCHARGE AND STABBING IN HULME

    At around 3.40am on Monday 7 February 2022, police were called to reports of a disturbance on Eliza Street, Manchester.

    Enquiries have established that a firearm had been discharged and a 49-year-old man had been stabbed.

    Emergency services attended and the victim was taken to hospital with a stab wound to the neck. He has since been discharged from hospital.

    Today (8 February) officers arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of attempt murder. He remains in custody for questioning.
