    Eight people have been charged following the Extinction Rebellion Manchester climate change protest in the City Centre yesterday (Saturday 24 November).

    The following protesters were charged with Wilful Obstruction of the Highway contrary to section 137(1) of the Highways Act 1980:

    Stephanie Luckman (08/6/1998) of Brudenell Grove, Leeds.

    Mina Jaff (29/04/1997) of Lumley Terrace, Leeds.

    Pernina Jacobs (23/05/1997) of St Georges Quay, Lancaster.

    Anna Oakes-Monger (13/09/1995) of St Georges Quay, Lancaster.

    Ceri-Beth Miseroy (10/06/1998) of Oak House, Fallowfield, Manchester.

    Jeremy Harrison (19/03/1963) of Henriette Street, Trafford, Manchester.

    Elizabeth Haughton (09/09/1995) of Ducie Street, Manchester.

    Adam Haigh (26/06/1999) of Richmond Grove, Manchester.

    All eight have been bailed to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court on January 3 2019 at 9.30am.

    Shortly after 3pm on Saturday 24 November 2018, police responded after a number of people were reported to be wilfully obstructing the highway on Oxford Street, Manchester.
