  • MAN CHARGED FOLLOWING THE ATTEMPT ROBBERY OF A TAXI DRIVER IN BOLTON

    Stephen Mawmbwe (08/02/1994) of no fixed abode has been charged with attempt robbery and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

    He has been remanded into custody ahead of an appearance at Bolton Magistrates' Court today (3 March 2022).

    At around 2.40am on Friday 4 February a man attempted to rob a taxi driver on Trinity Street, Bolton.

    During the robbery the taxi driver was choked with a seatbelt and stabbed in both hands.
