  • MAN TO APPEAR IN COURT IN CONNECTION WITH MONDAYS CHEETHAM HILL STABBING

    A man will appear in court today (Friday 6 August) in connection with a horrific stabbing on the Salford/Manchester border in which a man was left with horrific injuries after being stabbed with a large blade in what is believed to have been a targeted attack.

    Witnesses at the scene claim that the victim lost a finger and repeatedly slashed during the brutal machete attack.

    Police were called at around 7.10pm on Monday 2 August 2021 to Bury Old Road.

    Emergency services attended and enquiries established a male had been stabbed. 

    21-year-old Mujtaba Saeed, of Halliwell Lane, Cheetham Hill, Manchester, has been charged with a section 18 assault, affray and possession of an offensive weapon and is set to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court.
