  • POLICE MAKE AN ARREST IN CONNECTION WITH A SERIOUS COLLISION IN TRAFFORD

    At around 2.30am on Saturday 12 February 2022, officers on patrol in the Stretford area found a male lay on Chester Road near the junction with Sydney Street.

    The male has been taken to hospital where he remains with serious injuries.

    An investigation was launched and officers established that the male had been involved in a collision with a silver Ford Transit which had come from Edge Lane.

    A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He remains in custody for questioning.

    Officers are appealing for anyone from information, particularly dash cam footage from the area at around the time of the incident, to get in touch with them.
